Closest to Wrong

It’s funny, we’ve always heard that survival of the fittest is the way to be, which usually means adapting to all circumstances. Now, however, if you really think about it, because everyone is always adjusting to their circumstances, the authenticity that actually makes this world so beautiful is slowly disappearing. I am not saying that adapting is bad, I am just wondering out loud, how much one should conform? There is adapting to survive and then there is adapting to fit in; where is the line? Is there even a line? After all, some believe ‘fitting in’ is survival, despite all the cliché ‘you were born to stand out’ quotes.

It’s not just people anymore, whole neighbourhoods and even certain cities are adapting. There is constant change and yes, life does mean movement; but I have this weird feeling in my gut, like we are either going in the direction that’s closest to wrong or we are going way too fast for our own good. If I ever decide which it is I will keep you updated, and if you know, clue me in.
